Google Maps Platform APIs

While GPS is typically accurate within approximately 20 meters, Wi-Fi and cell tower data enhance accuracy, especially in areas with weak GPS signals, such as indoors. Under no circumstances will we retain your personal information for longer than thirty-six (36) months from the date your account becomes inactive.

If deletion is not immediately possible—such as when your personal information is stored in backup archives—we will securely store the information and isolate it from further processing until deletion can be carried out.

13. Request Verification

Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to confirm that you are the individual to whom the information pertains. If we cannot verify your identity with the information we have on file, we may request additional information to assist in verification and for security or fraud-prevention purposes.

If the request is submitted through an authorized agent, we may need to collect further information for identity verification before processing the request. The agent must also provide a signed written authorization from you to submit the request on your behalf.

14. Appeals

Under certain US state data protection laws, if we decline to take action regarding your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing us at policy@field-io.com. We will inform you in writing about any actions taken or not taken in response to your appeal, including a detailed explanation of our reasoning. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state attorney general.

15. California “Shine The Light” Law

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information regarding the categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of those third parties with whom we shared personal information in the previous calendar year. If you are a California resident and wish to make such a request, please submit it in writing to us at policy@field-io.com.

If you wish to review or update the information in your account or terminate your account, you can do so by logging into your account settings. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate your account and personal information will be retained per the terms in our Privacy Policy.

17. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually adjust your browser settings to remove or reject cookies. However, please be aware that this may affect the functionality of certain features or services within our Services.

18. Do Not Track Features

Most web browsers, as well as some mobile operating systems and applications, offer a Do-Not-Track (DNT) feature or setting that you can activate to indicate your preference for not having your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Currently, there is no established uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals. As a result, we do not respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your preference not to be tracked online.

Should a standard for online tracking be adopted in the future that we are required to comply with, we will update this Privacy Notice to inform you of our practices regarding DNT signals.

In accordance with California law, we must disclose how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Due to the absence of an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them.
